My Guest Designer Spot On Quirky Crafts!

I used the Japanese Scene and elements from the Japanese Pack, available from Squigglefly. I've never put a scene together before so it was a little bit of a challenge but fun. Sad Time...

Well in a previous post awhile back I mentioned that my dog had congestive heart failure, well the time came this past weekend to put him to rest. So this has been a sad, hard time for all of us but especially me. He was a great dog and member of our family for 7 years. Let me just say that it is as hard as losing a human being family member or friend. Here is the last pic I took of him:

Anyway I got offered a job I applied for about a month ago that I thought I wanted but decided for personal and professional reasons not to take it. I am going to focus on Etsy and Ebay as my "job". Well hope to get crafty some this week haven't had much crafty mojo going since Fri. Hope all is well with everyone!

Summer Vacation Has Started!

Well the boys are finally out of school their last day was June 9th! I did my first flea market of the year last week and unfortunately it didn't go very well. I think I will stick to selling on Etsy and other online venues as I seem to do much better on there. I'll be making and listing new stuff soon so be on the lookout! June Already???

Hi all it's June already can you believe it? I can't time is flying by! I'm still getting stuff made for the festival which is next week! I'm getting a little nervous & excited! (LOL) This has & will be a busy week & weekend. We leave Monday for the festival. By we I mean my youngest son & I. He likes to go & help plus he wanted to try & make his own money so he made some stuff to sell as well. Anyway hopefully I can get a few card challenges done this week to add to my festival stock! Well it's a 3 day holiday weekend for most people & I hope everyone enjoys it! We will probably be hanging out down @ our family pond/campground cooking out with family & friends tomorrow & Sunday. Some Sad News & Other Stuff!

I got some sad news yesterday. My dog aka Rocky is in congestive heart failure. He also has fluid on his lungs. They aren't sure how long he's had or been in it but it is pretty progressed. I guess a dogs heart is only supposed to be 10in & his 14in. Anyway they put him on 3 different pills twice a day. There is no cure or way to reverse it so it's only a matter of time. The vet said at this stage of the disease that he's in he probably has 6 months at the most if that. So now I'm preparing for the inevitable. Here is a pic of him.

On a lighter note I've been trying to finish preparing for this huge festival I'm doing next month. I got a cash register! I also got a square reader for my phone so I can take credit cards! It plugs into your phone then you just swipe the card through! You have an online account the money goes into & at the end of each day it gets deposited into your checking account! I'm so excited to be able to accept CC's! I know it doesn't take much to excite me! (LOL) Here it is.

Anyway that's it for now back to work I go!

Time Is Flying By!

Geesh time seems to be flying by to fast! I've been busy trying to get ready for the flea market/festival that I'm doing next month so I haven't had time to do any blog card challenges in what seems like forever! I think I'm having withdrawals! (LOL) Also Mother's Day was our 12yr wedding anniversary! We celebrated the day before with dinner & a movie. My New Craft Area! (Pic Added)

Hi everyone! In my last post I mentioned my new scrap area in one corner section of the living room & someone commented they'd like to see pictures so here goes! (LOL) Now it's nothing spectacular like I'd like to have if I hit the lottery but I can at least now work during the day while my hubby is asleep. First is kind of an all over shot of everything.

Next is my table & some accessories.

Next are the two cabinets housing (or hiding) alot of my supplies. LOL One has glass doors which is nice & solid doors on the bottom where my scrapbook albums are. The other is a strong plastic cabinet purchased at Meijer's for $65. The shelves are adjustable in both.

Finally is the white bookshelf which houses (or again hides) the rest of my supplies. I am having velcro added to a piece of fabric which I am going to put on it so you can't see everything on the shelves.

I will post another pic of the bookshelf once I get the cover added. I hope this helps & maybe gives people some ideas on storage & stuff!

Hi all as you can see I didn't get many blog challenges done in March but I hope to change that this month! I've been trying to prepare for a festival/flea market I'll be doing in June & July with inventory & such so I've been busy. I've also been trying to keep up with my 3 Etsy shops & Artfire. I also moved my scrap/craft area out to one corner of the living room so I can work during the day while my husband is asleep (he works nights). I just got it all straightened up the way I want it so now I can get busy creating! (LOL) Hope to be back here shortly with some new creations! Have a good day!

I'm sorry that I don't ever say the materials I use to make my cards & other creations but I honestly don't know! I buy a variety of brands & types & I never leave anything in packages so I have no idea! (LOL) Anyway I hope you all still enjoy my creations as much as I enjoy making them! :)

Well I decided to try my luck at some craft fairs/festivals this summer & my first one is 6-18 to 6-19! Eeeeek!!! I'm trying to finish getting things ready for that & make new stuff to take as well cause I'm trying to make sure I have enough items to last the weekend! This will be my first fair & it's for 3 days so i don't want to run out! Anyway I hope to get some blog challenges done this weekend to add to my card pile, so be on the look out! For anyone interested that lives in central Indiana the festival is the LaFontaine Ashland Days Festival.
